input-output mapping
отображение портов на пространство адресов ввода-вывода, ввод-вывод через порты
организация ввода-вывода, при которой за каждым периферийным устройством закрепляется фиксированный блок адресов портов ввода-вывода, доступ к которым осуществляется с помощью двух специальных команд (I/O instruction) - одной для чтения из порта, а другой для записи в порт. Данные из/в порт обычно пересылаются только через аккумулятор (accumulator). Недостаток метода - исполнение команд ввода-вывода требует больше времени, а программы более прозрачны для дизассемблирования; достоинство - большая гибкость при построении системы.
